We had Rosie's BFF neighbor dog Beanie overnight, and in the morning we had pancakes. So beanie got to take part in our weekly ritual. She was pretty good at it, but it's definitely much more work to get three dogs to cooperate for photos than it is one or two.
Goldie socked out in the hallway because it was too hot.
She can't go somewhere else to sleep, because she has to be near her people.
Noel went to the hardware store, and left the poor, abandoned dogs behind.

It works very well, indeed. Especially on Rosie's extra-thick coat.
There is nothing a dog likes more than to lie on a nice fresh pile of dirt.
It's soft, cool, and oh, so comfortable.
Let's hope our dog trainer doesn't see this and know how lax we've gotten.
The girls (well, Goldie especially) have been enjoying the split tomato harvest, plus a few big ones they have stolen from the vines.
The thing is, when you don't have opposable thumbs or lips, it's hard to eat a big tomato without making a huge mess of it. And lately? That mess has been on my dining room floor:
She peels them, then nibbles away.
Sometimes, just sitting up without leaning on something is too much.
