The process was everything. Start with a natural object -- I found a branched set of seed pods from a tree -- and from that design a structural system for a chair.

Cardboard as a material can be adapted to many forms. While the natural inclination is to use a flat rectilinear material to make a flat, rectilinear structure, the structural system I found so interesting required a deconstruction of the material itself.
